World Thalassemia Day

Observed on May 8 every year, World Thalassemia Day raises awareness of the severe blood disease that is thalassemia, unites support for its patients and victims, and celebrates the lives of those who are no longer with us because of it.The day also promotes actions for the prevention, management, and treatment of thalassemia in a patient-centered manner.
