World Post Day is marked on October 9 to acknowledge the postal system and the role it still plays in the everyday lives of people and businesses.We might not be aware of it in this age of e-communication, but the postal network is the largest system of logistics globally, and provides more than 1.5 million people all around the world with access to basic financial services.
